New model on the way, at this time, A4N1 type 95 was the last biplane fighter in the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was a developing from the A2N type 90 because the new monoplane project 7-shi (1932) failed. A4N1 was equipped with the radial engine Hikari 670 HP. The maximum speed was to 351 Km per hour. My model represent a machine of 12 th Kokutai in Koungata, China, September 1937. The A4N1 was adopted for service in January 1936. A total of 221 units were manufactured. When the Second Chinese incident started in July, 1937, the A4N1 was in the front of that war. The land based units adopted the Kumogata camouflage using paints green and brown over the silver dope paint used before the war started. Model designed by my friend Eduard Rief in 1/50 scale used Metasequoia, Pepakura and Inkscape for design. I reduce to 1/100 as always.
