I have visited the 'Nationaal Modelbouw Evenement' in the National Military Museum, Soesterberg, Holland.
All kinds of models were displayed,
- static and moving/flying/sailing;
- wood (even matches), plastic, paper, metal;
- planes, ships, tanks, cars, animals, trains, steam engines, buildings, bunkers, you name it;
- in between the museum exhibits.
Being a holiday in Holland the museum was very busy, with a LOT of kids. Someone got them from behind their PC's or tablets.
I did not hear ONE kid crying or complaining: new moddelers ? Let's hope so, because I think it is very benificial for their development !
Lots of very enjoyable chats, hope to have got some kids enthousiast for modelling (and elders too). Very positive atmosphere !
I enclude some pictures from the paper model desks.
