I needed a little uncomplicated short term build to help me unwind from the previous saga that was the P-61. So I picked this tank out of the pile to build. I had two of these of different vintages but with different paper quality. This one was designed by the same person who designed the SU-100 that Kcstephens built awhile back, so I thought it might not give me too much trouble. For those going to the IPMC in November, I sent along the older version for a prize or auction item.
I'm to far along to do a proper build thread but can say that parts fit is very good. Two interesting items though, on this build:
1. The paper is of good quality but is thicker and stiffer than I like. Almost all rolled parts thus far have had to be delaminated to get a proper shape and scale appearance.
2. There are no markings on the parts labels to indicate what to laminate and how thick the card needs to be. These are all outlined in the written instructions. Get your Polish translator warmed up.
Anyway here are a couple of photos of my recent progress for your viewing pleasure.
