Arrrgghhhhhh
I was building a model downloaded from the internet and finally gave up. The model was not coming together, it had all sorts of fiddley bits, no instructions, things that did not fit exactly, and was turning out to look only sorta kinda like the real thing.
It was a tough choice, but there was no going forward, so into the trash it went, assembled parts, cut out parts and uncut pieces. Oh well.
I might do a couple of Fiddler's Green models in order to get some fast easy gratification.
About the model itself, I found out that the designer had passed away a few years ago, and what I had downloaded was not really a final design, but a beta version that still needed a lot of tweaking, something the designer never had time to do, since death intervened before he could finish it.
I did come across a thread on this forum where someone had built the model, but it required a lot of modifications, the ones the original author did not have the chance to do.
Anyway, it was the paper model equivalent of <the mystery of edwin drood>, the parts are there, but the creator's vision is incomplete.
I am not feeling creative enough myself to find a lesson in this, the sun is out, it looks nice outside, I am going out for a walk in the park, maybe I will see a deer.
