Everyone in the UK has a minute's silence (starting from the 11th hour) on Remembrance Day (When I was in primary school we found it easier to call it Poppy Day), which is today (11th of November). It's a memorial day to remember those who died when fighting to protect the nation. We also buy little poppys for a pound or cheaper. Since I am here in Korea, we don't have the appeal fund here. Instead on the 6th of June we have a memorial day to remember those who died in the Korean war.
Rest in peace to those who died in the line of duty.
