The BAD-2 was a Soviet amphibious armored car built in 1932. Only one was ever constructed, and information is pretty scarce - there are only a half dozen or so photos of the BAD-2, but those pictures illustrate how versatile it was: the paired rear wheels could be fitted with tracks for extra traction in extreme conditions. All six wheels could be exchanged with iron wheels to turn it into a railroad draisine. It's waterproof hull and aquatic propeller allowed it to traverse rivers and lakes. Obviously there must have been some serious short comings, or more of them would have been built. The prototype was armed with two 7.62mm machine guns, one forward firing, and the second in a revolving turret at the rear of the car. The main 37mm gun was located in a central revolving turret. It was powered by a 40HP Ford engine.
The kit is the creation of Russian designer Alexey Kozlov. I'm not sure where/if it's available for download - he attached the file in a message to me. I think it might not be fully developed yet, since I had to perform some modifications and create a missing part or two in order to build it.
WARNING: If you do an image search for BAD-2, you might come up with all sorts of pictures you wouldn't want a little kid to see, so make sure no one is looking over your shoulder.
Photos are fair to middlin' this time.
