Hello

Hi, My name is Oscar, living in the Netherlands and building models since I was a kid. Starting with paper, followed by plastic and finally wooden ships. During my years at school and university the time to build models for fun became rare but this was overcompensated by the models I had to build to express my ideas for architectural designs for my study architecture.

The last few years my busy job (and no, I did not became an architect) provided me with an unhealthy amount of stress and I needed to find a hobby to relax. That's when I decided to pick up my old hobby of building models.

I recently started building the Titanic 1:200 from Taschen and was searching the internet for some threads describing the build. I found one on this forum and decided to join. I also have a model of the castle Haut-Koeningsbourg (from L'Instant Durable) on the shelf: I have visited this castle with my family one year ago during our holiday in France and couldn't resist to buy the model in the castle's shop. I will start building this model soon.

I am not sure I will be posting my own building experience on this forum, but I certainly like to read other experiences as an inspiration and enjoy seeing so much great builds.
