What good fortune to find this website, quite by accident really. Feeling rather nostalgic I was looking for a model of the Golden Hind which I tried building as a Kid but never finished for reasons I no longer recall. In my search I came across your site. As a child all those many eons ago, I was an avid model builder, planes, ships, cars, the whole nine yards. It drove my parents nuts with all the planes hanging from the ceiling. Got in real trouble once playing navel war games with some of my moterized model war ships. We had a small pond out back and I filled the ships with fire crackers, fuel oil, and matches, then I got my BB gun out. Father was not a happy camper, with the risk to property and all the money spent on all those models. Hay, at the time it was fun; watching those flaming warriors sink beneath the waves. Just a stupid kid you know; to many war movies I think. My passion had to take a back seat though, once I had to start earning a living and raise my own family. Life happens and time passes by so fast. Now I am retired with time on my hands and paper models have peaked my interest, especially the age of sail. I do realize tall ships are a very tall order but hay I have plenty of time, well a few more years anyway.
