I've only just got into paper modelling through trying to stretch my skills on CAD. Here are some pictures of my first effort. It's a 1:48 Folland Gnat from the Gnat Display Team, XR538 of No 4 FTS. Behind it in the pictures you can see my initial prototype. I have done this model in all three of the Gnat Display Team colours, including the ill fated XS111, which I completed just before the crash. My condolences obviously go to all involved.
XR538 is the first one I've built as a second prototype to make sure all the panel lines line up, which they did :) But it did show up a couple of detailing issues that have now been corrected. When I build the other two versions I will take pictures and produce build instructions.
I also plan to take some video of it in action when I find some time, on a still day, to fly it properly. It has had a couple of short test flights that went ok but I found I needs more distance and speed to stop it stalling.
This was laser printed on standard 80gsm printer paper.
