Dear All,
I attach here photos of the IAF Ouragan.
Was the first jet of Dassault after ww2 and in many ways can be compared with the straight wing f-84 Thunderjet.
The Ouragan entered the IAF in 1955 and served till 1973.
The two main conflicts that the type participated were in Kadesh in 1956 and in the six day war in 1967.
The Ouragan was known as a hard. Plane to fly by its pilots.
The controls were mechanic with cables and required strong force.
Also the distance between the main gears was small- somthing that
made the landings a core for a new pilot and of course no trainer.
Despite all this it had a strong frame and was popular by young pilots.
In 1975 the remains were sold to Honduras and later were followed by
Saar fighters that were sold to Honduras as well. The Saar service was much
better as it was a much modern design.
