After reading the recent thread about BB-8 models here http://ift.tt/1sYJvXr I decided to download and build the one mentioned on the Deviant Art site, designed by Nathan Spencer. It's taken me just over a week to complete and looks pretty good I think. Everything fitted together really well so I had very few, if any, problems. I would definitely recommend using the designer's method of closing up the ball shape of BB-8's 'body' shown here BB8 Version 2 by n8s on DeviantArt as otherwise it could prove to be very tricky!
