I finally have something to show for a project I've been working on, the Consolidated B-32 Dominator. http://ift.tt/2b8mrPQ
The model is being designed to 1/48 scale as I usually do, but the pictures here show my very first alpha test build in 1/144, to save paper and space. This one shows my mistakes in picking up a previous start and trying to add new parts. I managed to misplace one narrow fuselage section just behind the cockpit, and that screwed up the whole shape of the cockpit area. Haven't decided yet if I'm going to cut off the nose and replace it, or just build another model. This is supposed to represent the 2nd prototype XB-32, with the first, taller, single tail. I originally planned to build the first twin-tailed prototype, but misplaced the page with the right parts for it. Next time. This one also has engines borrowed, scaled up and slightly modified from Bruno's B-29, since mine aren't ready yet. Not a build I'm proud of, but an inspiration to continue, anyway. Shows the major mistakes I have to fix as well. Once I'm satisfied with the first 2 versions, I'll move on to trying to modify the nose and tail with the turrets fitted to the production types.
