I finally finished a model a couple of weeks ago. Of course it's taken me this long to post pics! It's the Rigby Swallow, designed in the mid 1930's and sold in great quantities as a ready-to-fly boxed model. A simplified plan of this model was included in the book "Model Aircraft for Boys" by Wallis Rigby.
I scanned and re-colored the b&w version from the book, then resized it to fit on a single letter page card stock. It was not as easy a build as I originally anticipated since without formers, the fuselage was difficult to keep straight and well as the wings. I took an old e-chargers motor to use the nose block and prop since those were not in the book.
Overall, I fairly pleased with result even if if never flies because the fragile wire connections broke during handling.
Hope you enjoy the pics. The last photo shows the Supermarine S6 racer which I believe was the inspiration for the design of this model.
