I know...I know. I'm not quite done with the PZL, but I couldn't help it. I just started doing a tiny bit on this guy. There is just something about cutting those formers and having the skins match all the way around...and lacking bumps! Very satisfying.
So far, it's going together nicely. Toughest part was the gun site but I think I got it. I'll put some clear acetate on the top to finish it off.

Just like on the PZL, I've been using pastel chalks to color my edges to pretty good effect. The cockpit is huge so I think I may look at the real Whirlwind and might add a few extra pieces.
This kit seems to go together as nicely as the WAK PZL example and it seems like the edges of the skins are outlined with pretty wide lines (on the vertical parts of the fuselage skins) so I'm trying to cut those by splitting down the middle of the line. So far, so good...
More soon (on both!). You guys didn't say this was addictive. :mad:
