After the Schloss I decided to try something a bit different. This time it's an Owl - mainly because my wife likes them!
It's one of Canon's so I was reasonably confident that it would work well.
While I was making it I remembered a comment from Tim a few years ago at one of our exhibitions - he said he couldn't make buildings because he didn't like all the straight lines. I commented that that was why I made buildings - because straight lines are easy - with a metal rule!
Now we have Tim with his excellent cathedral and me with an owl - and we all know the old saying "Nature abhors a straight line". The only straight lines are on the tabs.
The owl is the full size of canon's kit, but the kit is half the size of the real bird. It's quite intricate but there aren't that many parts, except for the legs and claws (all 18 parts).
I hope you like it ...... my wife likes it more than my buildings.......... women ;-)
Cheers
Mike
