Gang,
Here's my rendition of Aaron's NASA F-8C Digital Fly-By-Wire aircraft that flew at Dryden Flight Research Center 1972-1985. The markings on Aaron's model are those shown in a 1977 NASA photo.
I reduced the model to 1/48 from its original 1/35 scale to save shelf space. The only real difficulty I had was with the wing spars. I just couldn't get them to fit, so I substituted cut-off popsicle sticks. I also added some plastic bits such as the upper and lower beacons, gun fairings and nose probe.
An excellent model of an interesting subject you won't see in styrene or (probably) resin. Thanks, Aaron! :)
