Rupert Cordeux model of Worcester Cathedral.

I designed this model in the mid 1990s and am now on the verge of reissuing it with a new title page and a few tweaks here and there. I did actually start building a model of it earlier in the year but didn't like the colour of the card so I destroyed it before wasting too much more time on it. This version is on the correct colour of card. On the whole, it is an easy build though some of the composite buttresses are too fiddly. I also seem to have missed a pair of pinnacles off the north eastern transepts. I went to Worcester recently and noticed that they looked very new. Perhaps when I went in the 90s the old ones had rotted to such an extent that they had had to be removed and later replaced: I shall have to look it up. Anyway, the model will stay as it was designed. There is enough scrap card for the real diehard to make their own pinnacles and put them on if they so wish. Incidentally, I shall not at any time be reissuing the old models of Lincoln, Wells, Hereford, Lichfield. These are great buildings and they deserve new, better drawn models when I have time. I hope you like the photos. Please feel free to contact me at rupert.cordeux@btinterent.com for details of this or any other of my model-kits. In the meantime thanks for your interest in my work. I will now be painting for some months and will return to model-designing in the winter. Exeter Cathedral will be the next entirely new model.
