Hobby Town Scale Model Contest

Another scale model contest has been infiltrated with paper models. I entered five of the seven categories, and garnered three seconds and two firsts...and one of the firsts was even against another entrant...so the participation in the contest was on the thin side, they were still awards made to paper instead of plastic. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera to the contest, but the Idaho Falls Hobby Town owner took at least one of each entry, and said he will post them on their Facebook page. When that happens, I will update this post to include the link to his page.

I did remember to bring the camera along for the next step in the model's progress. I donated the models to the Collector's Corner Museum in Idaho Falls for them to add to their display. The museum is well worth visiting should you ever be in the Idaho Falls area, especially in the fall when they have a special exhibit honoring military veterans, who are admitted free while the display is up. http://ift.tt/1R2hJ3w

Here are a few photos of the museum owner accepting the donation...which included the B-24 diorama, which is hiding on the counter in these pictures. I thought I had a pic of it, but apparently missed getting it. Anyhow, another group of modelers have now been infected with paper...the usual 'that is just paper?' comments, and several saying they would check out our website. One of the most interested was the shop owner, whose main interest appears to be gaming.
