Been a while since I posted... so this one starts in the middle
After building the hull I decided I would have to start adding stuff at the bow and work back.
I have some walnut I decided to use for masts and spars
For "rope" i have cords I've made by twisting copper wire of different sizes, I have a few thin ones left over.
So I used those to make some coils for the forward bit's belaying pins.
I used a cardboard jig to wrap them, then bent them over and painted them
Then I bent them til they sat ok on the pins. Then I added a little dab of glue .
I'm doing it this way because I decided at 1/96 there was going to be no way to do the coils round the pins when I'm
actually putting in the running rigging.
I'll go back and post some pictures of building the hull later.
