Hi,
Here a little presentation of the model I'm working on for a couple of days, my first helicopter : The fi-282B kolibri in 1:33 by gpm
For the little history lesson, the fi 282 is actually the first reliable helicopter to enter service and production. thought performing well, fortunately for us nazi regime didn't see the full potential of this new kind of machine, neither with the fa-223 (!).
Back to the kit !
You can build 2 full versions, the A type (grey) or the B (green) - I will go for the green for now.
Probably will use some mig 15 for wheels, size match really close; where is going to end, my hobby model mig won't need it anyway...
Typical gpm kit, few photos of a model, small history and instruction in polish, 3 pages of 3D drawing, a 3 views, 6 colours pages with parts - for both models.
180g paper, nice colours, real precision printing. Looking at my scanning , Print is hight quality, I would guess for digital printing.
My print aren't good enough, I will "cut" the book directly.
First to do, the engine, a bramo sh-14. If parts fit well, it is really basic, I decided to add more details (hey, that was suppose to be a fast project before going back to my flak36; too bad !).
Links I found are really confusing, takes me hours to decide what to do. Eventually the most reliable source seem to be Siemens-Sternmotor Sh 14 | Klassiker der Luftfahrt and 1/18 scale model Bramo Sh-14 radial engine by Anyuta3D on Shapeways
Works still in progress; first time I try to add those kind of details - obviously lot to learn !. Made of 0.3, 0.5, 1mm copper and 0.5mm card. Maybe I should have used paper for the different section.
As you can see the back of the engine is going to be fun to mod too (!?)
End for now, see you in few days for more details.
bye
