Not a directly a paper item but sometimes people do like to use the inexpensive bottle brush trees in their various kinds of paper model scenes. I was just reminded by someone today that sometimes it is difficult to find them. So here is a source I have used in the past that has reasonable prices with a good variety of sizes, colors, etc.

Or you can make your own by twisting fibers cut from a sisal rope into fine wire. Some people use drill motors for the twisting work but I prefer the superior control gained from using a pair of 6" safety wire pliers. Harbor Freight is a good source for them and they do go on sale several times a year for about five dollars.
