This is my first super deformed model. I downloaded this kit many moons ago, and recolored it in the livery of the 8th Fighter Squadron (The Black Sheep), Operation Desert Storm, 1991. I was so impressed with bubble jet propulsion's rendition of the model http://ift.tt/Xk56d0, that I was inspired to build it - finally. My Night Hawk is depicted in flight perched atop a recolored Fiddler's Green stand. Since the model is a caricature of an F-117A, I thought I'd decorate the base with a caricature of Saddam Hussein. I added strategically placed crosshairs to mimic all those laser targeting videos we were amazed by almost two and a half decades ago. How time flies.
The model is a simple 6 piece affair which went together very easily. On the original kit, the air intakes are just big open holes which I didn't like the looks of, so I modified the intake parts by adding the "missing" panels before printing.
I had a lot of fun with this model. Maybe I'll try another cartoon kit soon.
