On our trip to Poland in June, we were able to visit all but three of the 31 Polish Model kits that I have - (I have not made most of them yet). JSC publishes 18 Gdansk models. I was able to find, visit, and photograph all but three which were too far away. This model is called Dwor Miejski or the City Stables. It was identical to the model in every respect- even the horse on the chimney. The 3 towers were part of the original fortress wall. The Corner Tower was built in 1343. Much of the entire structure was destroyed during WWII but has since been rebuilt. The stable building now houses the Fire Brigade.
Attached are photos of the model, which I just finished, and photos of the real building. When I write about our time in Gdansk on my webpage - CATHEDRAL QUEST: our quest to experience cathedrals in Europe, I will give more history of this interesting structure.
