Autumn Leaves

There was an article in the paper stating that you should not rake and bag leaves then set the bags out to be hauled to the landfill. It is good for the trees and the lawn when you run a mulching mower over the leaves to chop them up and return those nutrients to the ground. I have been mulching leaves with a mower for decades instead of raking them. However it is not due to some inborn respect for nature and things natural, it is because I did not want to rake and bag and haul them leaves.:)

I was being a good Scout and didn't know it.:):)
