Hi all!
I'm new to paper modeling and I'm trying to scratch-build details on a 1:32 Northrop F-5. I'm in the nose landing gear bay now, and I'm trying to replicate those flattened tubes you can see in this image
I can't really get a realistic-looking tube, because:
1) if I roll a piece of paper and squash it at the center, I (kinda) get the changing in the section' shape from circular to rectangular, but I won't be really able to bend it at the edge like the real ones are. I mean: I can, but because of dimensions (2cm x 3mm), the result is bad looking.
2) if I cut a simple piece of paper, I can get all the bendings I want but I don't get the changing in section.
What would the best solution be?
Thanks!
Davide.
