Yet again I'm entering a new category. This is the first vehicle I've made since I "gave up" plastic models more than 15 years ago. I saw a picture of the Truck on the internet and decided I had to make it. Mainly because I like steam vehicles and have spent years trying to find the kit of a Showman's engine I built about 40 years ago - (yes - I can still remember that far back!)
This kit is the nearest I've come to it! I have attached the front page of the kit and you will see that I have made a few changes - mainly to add a bit of bling. I've also caught Tim's liking for rivets and revived my use of dry brushing.
The parts fit together well and the instructions are easy to follow, although there are a few cases where parts have the wrong number and others have the same number but are completely different. I also changed the order of construction in places. For example I left the cab roof till last because I guessed that adding items in the cab would be easier without it.
As you will see it's a 1:32 scale but the publisher also make the same thing in 1:42. The truck is about 10 inches long and 4.5 to the top if the bed cover.
Cheers
Mike
