National Railway Museum - York

Just got back from four days in York.



Thought I would share some photos. The centre of York is still surrounded by the castle walls. To go into the centre you have to pass through the various gates. The main southern one being Micklegate:







Not my photo. Taking pictures and driving is frowned upon. The hotel was on the riverside and 15 minutes walk via the castle walls to the training centre:







Any one who has visited York will know Leeman Road. The railway museum now inhabits both sides of the road
