So, the wife has said the awards need to be moved, so I wanted to offer a couple of quick updates on how Paper Models can compete.
On 08 Mar 2014, I hit RiverCon III in Shreveport, LA. In the triathlon category, the 1/87 MTLB and the 1/144 Cz Mig-21, combined with a 1/144 plastic SA-330, took first.
In paper category, the 1/144 Spad SA-2 took 1st, the 1/300 Santa Maria took 2nd, and the 1/144 Ah-1 took 3rd.
In April, I attended the Arkansas Model Championship. In paper models, the 1/32 Mig-13 took 1st, a 1/87 M-548 took 2nd, and a 1/87 PMGT took 3rd.
In Watercraft ( a plastic and wood dominated category), the 1/300 Santa Maria took 2nd.
In a work in progress category, the Fokker D.VIII took 1st.
And in a plastic category of 1/48 and smaller armor, the Japanese Type 94 took 1st!!!!
As this is a general overview to finish the competition year, I just pictured the awards.
