I jumped into this great hobby for some time now and I'm feeling comfortable enough to share my work with you. hey, looking at others threads, there's strong modellers around there !
I wanted to do something different, so here my last build - for the next one I will try to give a more in time report - : GPM Bf 108 taifun
Let's skip the historical part and just jump into the model.
Got the book for 7.3€, laser cut at 3€ ; for the gear, I will use la5's resin from my stock (3.65€), they're match almost perfectly.
Looked not that hard, 4 A4 sheets with parts - not a lots of them - , typical 180g paper, 2 A3 with sketches and instructions, several photos from a finished model.
At first not so must difficulty, at least nothing I already got into, maybe the canopy will be challenging.
Decent detail for the interior but none for engine. No ailerons neither flaps. To bad that really enhance a model.
No swastika on the tail, and no optional part like with the bf109. I won't start a debate on that...
Let's be honest, price is correct but still a little expensive for what you got (ordered halinski for that price). Anyway that's not a common model.
Now the building.
Start with the cockpit, nothing much. I decided to glue inner to outer fuselage part first. Glueing to the frame it's a little tricky ; that fuselage its not as easy as it looks, there's not going to be much space for mistakes.
Continuing to the front. Definitively not that easy, doesn't look like but the shape of that fuselage is challenging. Parts are cut in a way not letting any room for corrections ! ; the doc is of no real help. Even with dry fit preparations had to unglue part #30 (with the logo) and #34 2 times - part #67 wouldn't fit.
And you can see the great engine details !
