Darłowo/Rügenwalde: Castle of Dukes of the House of Pomerania GPM 1:200

Hi all,



the town Darłowo (formerly Rügenwalde) lies in the Middle Pomerania in the West Pomeranian Region at the coast of the Baltic Sea/Ostsee. In 1352 Duke Bogislaw V. (1318-1374) purchased the grounds on a small river-island and started building a first castle on it. Since 1929 the castle of the Dukes of the House of Pomerania is a regional museum. Its 24m high tower is a landmark of the city.



The kit comes from GPM and has the scale of 1:200. Nearly all parts went good together, all walls were reinforced by me with heavy cardboard.



All in all its a nice supplement for the lighthouse of Darłowo, this one's a kit of GPM, too.
