Timmies set to invade the UK!

R-rrrrrr-roll up the rim!

You lucky Scots are about to get the Tim Horton experience!
Actually, over the next year or so, Tim Hortons will spread, like a plague, across the UK! lol
Only this plague is a somewhat pleasant experience.
Unless you're a diabetic...then its more like your standard plague.

Soon, you will crave your Timmies like every Canuck.
For a real Canadian, every daily routine must include a "Timmies".
Every Canadian knows what a "Timmies run" is...and usually needs one on a daily basis! lol
Timmies is where you end up after a Hockey Game, or late at night, after the Bar closes.
For many, Timmies is the place to meet friends, or hang out.

Tim Hortons is nothing more than a Coffee and Doughnut Shop.
Although they have evolved over the decades and now serve Sandwiches and other types of meals and refreshments.
Like many fast food restaurants, they are trying to serve healthier choices.
But they've been around for about 50 years in Canada with the first location opening in Hamilton, Ontario in 1964.

In fact, they have somehow become an integral part of Canadian life.
And synonomous with the rural Canadian identity.
Every Canadian knows about Tim Hortons, whether they go there or not.
In the same way a "cup of tea" is uniquely British, a coffee and donut is uniquely Canadian.
And Tim Hortons carries the flag in that regard.
Every town and City has numerous Tim Hortons...they're almost on every corner.
I have more than 20 in the small city where I live.
Not sure if this includes all the mini locations, but the city of Toronto has more than 200 Timmie stores!

Tims has more than 4600 locations in nine countries.
There are full size Tim Hortons with dining rooms and Drive Thru service.
There are smaller drive-thru only locations.
There are Food Court outlets and mini Tim Hortons in Gas Stations.
There are mobile Timmies that show up at fairs and special events.

Named after a famous Canadian Hockey Player: Tim Horton of the Toronto Maple Leafs,
the restaurant chain merged with Wendy's Hamburger chain a few years back,
and was then purchased by the same company that owns Burger King,
who just purchased the Popeye's Chicken chain
and are set to become the largest fast food enterprise in the world.

So, if you want a truly Canadian experience...LOL...try a Dutchie, or some Timbits from Timmies.
And don't forget your Large Double-Double to go.

Oh, and make an appointment with your Doctor. Things are about to get a lot worse.
