Hi All,
How many of us remember this great feat?
April 18th 1942, 75 years ago, Jimmy Doolittle and his band of brave pilots and air crews raided Tokyo and kicked off the first retaliation further the Pearl Harbor disaster.
Wikipedia is better than me at reminding us how this raid was prepared and carried out :

Enough to say that every step of this raid was a great feat by itself (i.e. taking off a B-25 from the deck of a carrier without the assistance of a launching catapult, ).
I can't remember who said or had this motto No guts, no glory. Years ago, I saw it painted as a plane nose art (*) but, for sure, it applies well to these guys and likely they had more than guts !
(*) "No Guts, No Glory" could be Capt Benjamin I. Mayo's motto. Was he the first one to adopt it ?
