Our friend Mauther found a cut out scene of a WWI German POW camp, showing a pair of Scottish POWs standing outside their hut. He posted the link to the original vintage paper model image, and to his restored version of the paper model.

It turns out that this is part of a set, which shows brave and noble German soldiers guarding dejected POWs from several nations. The first page shows how the cut outs can be arranged to recreate a WW1 holding camp for POWs captured by the Germans.
The model was published in 1915 by Joseph Scholz um Mainz. Joseph Scholz (1829-1968) was a stationary supplier and publishing house. It produced lithographs and a series of paer theaters and paper models similar to its French counterpart Epinal.
