The Very First (or possibly the second) Computer Game

I just found this simulation . Once upon a time , a long time ago, I wasted a lot of late night hours on this. A friend had a pass key to a carefully watched (during the work week) research faculty only computer room. Very late on weekend nights when the legitimate users were at home sleeping, we'd let ourselves in, boot up the PDP computer and play Space War. It was extremely high tech, you did not have to spend 10 minutes flipping toggles, you booted up from a paper tape, there was a keyboard, and most miraculous of all an oscilloscope monitor, with streaky persistence artifact just like on the game simulation.
