Pictures in threads.
I would genuinely like to know why some people put a picture of seemingly every page of a model. It is something that I just do not get when you consider that there is a bandwidth issue as well as the memory taken up in storing all these pages of pictures. I do NOT mean to knock anyone and I mean that seriously but I would like to know why.

Yes Virginia, there is an Ashrunner
Hello everyone...or at least those who read this post.
I realize it has been a long time since I have posted on the forums, but contrary to any rumors running around, I have not found greener pastures.
In actuality, my diabetes has taken a bit of a toll on my well-being. My eyesight is slowly fading and very bad in dim light, and my right hand shakes often enough to make it dangerous to hold anything sharp in it. But I am doing well otherwise. 8v)
I will try to maintain a presence on the forum every so often.
But for now...that is all.
Ashrunner out! (but not down)

Farm House Design and Build
Hello All:
I have been dormant for many years and am just now reemerging to show a recent design and build. The original house is in a rural part of Virginia (it's my parent's house) and I wanted to build something special for my mom for Christmas. My dad has been renovating the place for ten years.
I drew and colored the parts in Corel Draw and built several versions before settling with this one. The main structure is about six inches all around. The entire model contains around 80 parts.
I enjoyed the designed a lot and plan to make more houses. If there is any interest I will create build instructions and release the models (I find that there are few detailed residential (boring) houses out there in paper model land).

Zeppelin Staaken
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpjpBS0su6o
Almost century old footage of a Zeppelin Staaken preparing for take-off and in flight.
One segment of the film shows its post war use as a passenger plane.
There is also footage of the Zeppelin Staaken sea plane.
In spite of the fact that these were huge airplanes, they were still just big box kites, since they could be pushed around by relatively small ground crews.
(A model of the Zeppelin Staaken is available on E-Card models.)

GTA V - Re-Perez Auto Service Paper Model
Here the Re-Perez Auto Service paper model, ready to download. This model was created with textures
taken directly from the game GTA V for Playstation 4. I think it will be nice as stand/diorama for Hot Wheels
and Matchbox miniatures.

the cars from mad max fury road
actually I want them as hot wheels cars, but some paper models would be great.
Revolutionary Girl Utena
Hi!
Hi,
I came across this site looking for models to make with my son - we're living where I work in Oman and there are no toy shops with the kit models I used to make so I started looking for paper ones on the net. The models people post here look fantastic - I'm very grateful for everyone's generosity for sharing here and I hope to design something myself when I get the skills and share it.

Star Trek movie paper model prop kits?
Does anyone know of any paper models of the movie props, such as either the TMP or STII, or STIII-IV tricorders, phasers, or communicators?
I found an old Obi-wan site but found them a bit hard to smooth, despite the good effort on the designer's part to make some available, and have found nothing for Federation of Klingon props of the period elsewhere.
There's a lot of TOS out there, but am I missing any movie-era stuff?
Thanks!

I received your welcome email which requested me to post a message. I must admit some confusion on how to post a message so I simply tried starting a new thread. I could not see any selection in any menu that said post a message. I hope this action is OK and that I will now be able to download some of the paper models as a lot of them look very interesting. If there is a simple way to post a message, please let me know the procedure. Thanks. pmatso21.

Bombers for Micro Armor Games
Rawen designed some wonderful small scale Bombers in 1/250 scale.
See: RAF airfield/1:250/ made by Rawen and M. Tichy :: Prmodels
GHQ Micro Armor used in miniature games is 1/285 scale.
250/285 = 0.877 or 88%.
I printed Rawen's Vickers Wellington Bomber at 88% using Foxit Reader and got a 1/285 scale bomber suitable for Micro Armor games.
The picture shows the Vickers Wellington bomber flying over two of the buildings on the same page as the bomber.
There is also a column of GHQ German Panther tanks led by the infamous Pink Panther.
The bomber was printed on 32 Lb cardstock which works well for such small models although the wings could use some reinforcement.
The tail and cockpit were reinforced with cross pieces of round toothpick. I should have used a third cross piece in the nose.
The base of the bomber is a US Quarter with a disk of corrugated cardboard on top and a round toothpick stuck through the disk to support the bomber.
The squares on the scale cube are centimeters.
Mistakes were covered with acrylic paint.

Exeter Cathedral gets off the ground.
Now that the seemingly endless darkness and rain have set in, I have got to grips with my next brand new project: Exeter Cathedral. It will be in the same 1:240 scale as the other eleven model-kits I have designed and in the same format. Here's some preliminary drawings I've made so far. I am amazed at the utter symmetry of this building. Unique features will include: A wonky transept roof, the longest unbroken roof ridge, two squat Romanesque towers straddling the centre of the building and a large set of windows, almost all of which have tracery differing from each other.
F3H Demon
some sort of a crude project i was doing yesterday. i'm building paragons F3H demon and modified if for flight. this was sort of a experiment being that i don't paint often and when i do, it's usually watercolor, markers, and pencils. this is the first time I've painted a model with acrylic paint. i'm not liking it, but i'm sort of in "whatever" mode right now. as for the flight, wonderful. it tracks well and with a little up elevator, can adapt to vertical launches very well.
this also may be my most durable paper glider I've ever made. i constructed the froward fuselage and then added a thin layer of wood glue on the inside. I've then packed in some tissue pasted with glue inside. once dry, the result is something that i am still surprised at. i can throw this thing full force at a brick wall and it will still look the same as the photos seen here. this is definitely going to be the primary bases of making my gliders durable.
this model was more for experimenting then anything else, but i will say that i am planning on doing more for it. i'm not sure if it's my fault of not, but the way i built his demon, i feel that the bulge underneath the forward fuselage is not prominent enough. so i will scratch build a part to fit in and correct that problem. it's also going to have a plastic canopy and some paint applications are still being done.

Aviation Reference Blog
From a post on the Yahoo Space Modelers group; Aviation Archives
The blog of a retired McDonnel Aircraft engineer. Here's his intro;
About Me
My name is Ron Downey. I am a retired Aeronautical Engineer who worked for McDonnell Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas Corp for 40 years and collected many photos, info and brochures of their products. While the F-4 is my favorite, I have many other MDC items and these will be scanned and presented here. In addition, I have been an aviation historian for most of my adult life and I have amassed a large amount of info over my 50+ years of collecting and will be bringing that here also. My aim is to bring aviation material visually to this blog before it is lost; but, not in-depth explanations as any good search engine can be used for that purpose. I may be contacted at: aviationarchives(at)gmail.com
Be prepared to get lost in there for a while!

Just joined from Buford, GA
I came across this forum while searching for the Alan Rose DC-3. I built it back in the '80s, but never quite finished it. I am glad to see it as a download here. I also built a Titanic, which was close to 3' long, but do not remember the brand. I am hoping someone will come out with a C-47 coloring. I have a 1/200 scale CV-3 USS Saratoga aircraft carrier I have yet to start. My father-in-law served on the Sara back when it had bi-planes, before WWII. The main ship will be great fun, but all the little airplanes and lifeboats will be trying my patience. I do have an HP7610, which is a wide format printer, up to 13x19". Just need to get some 11x17 and other sizes of card stock to print on. Looking forward to the build. Have a whole pack of new Xacto blades to use!

WAK "Saettia" 1/100
A nice surprise on the day before Turkey Day.
Mailed on the 10th.. received on the 25th.. Cost including.. model.. laser frames.. shipping, came to almost $21. I did not get the cloth sails. Considering IMO the quality of the model, well worth it. Should be a good winter project, and as slow as I build, with breaks in-between for smaller projects, probably well into summer.
A lot of detail for a model that is just over 11 inches in length.
Details are from the WAK website..
scale: 1:100
designer: T. Weremko
skill level: 3/5
sheets with parts: 8
assembly drawings: 33
available accessories: laser cut frames/details, sails from canvas
Saettia sailing ships sailed the Mediterranean from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century. She was used not only for commerce, but also as an auxiliary unit in military actions. Model not very big, but requires a lot of time to build. Model has English instruction inside.
Package..

North American P-51H 1/100 scale
Hi people!
In this month my modelling activity is few, but the results slow show.
One is a second build test of P-51H from Ryan Short. This model is a improve mod of Murph's models P-51H Mustang, with new markings, long tail, correct cockpit, and nice add like doors compartiments... The original scale is 1/48, but I reduce to my usual scale collection...
Comparation with Murph's Models P-51H (early)
Size comparation with 1 real coin (size match 1 euro)
On my USAF fighter collection
