Further to Charlie's post on this same topic, I have been progressing my build of this unusual subject from Wayne McCullough. In 1:48th scale, it has lots of lovely detail and would lend itself to rescaling. Some pics of the work so far.
The tracks were rather easy to make, just a bit repetitive with over 80 links per side. Worth all the effort in the end though.
I added some extra detail in the driver's cab, foot pedals made from slivers of card. I'm not sure if these are authentic though, but they add some interest here.
