This Add-On Kit works with the original Little Willie (No.1 Lincoln Machine) Tank model.
It contains the Steering Carriage - Tail Unit, seen in many photos of Little Willie during testing.
The Steering Unit proved to be cumbersome and fairly ineffective and was removed for much of
Little Willie's testing...however it was present on the Tank at the Press and Public presentation
in 1916...and it was later redeveloped for the Mk.1 Tank that actually went into service.
The Kit also contains a printable display base sheet...to fit the longer model once the steering unit is attached.
It also comes with a scale model of the proposed "Gun Turret" that was fitted very early on in Willie's development
and was never completed. It was intended to house a rail mounted, elevating 2Pdr Gun, and featured four "pistol ports".
The Turret was removed sometime before the Tritton track system was installed...and never refitted.
Kit is up at ecardmodels: 1/18 Scale No.1 Lincoln Machine "Little Willie" Add-On Kit Paper Model
and has been added to the catalog at http://ift.tt/1ydbr7D
