I haven't sent any threads for a while - I've been too busy making models!
The difference is that the models were for an unusual venue. Standen House is an Arts and Crafts house about 10 minutes from home and the place where I "work" as a guide. Exhibitions are not unusual at National Trust properties but I've never seen one for card models before. It was timed for the school holidays so that the kids could get a "hands on experience" and I was there on four different days in July.
I was quite surprised at the number of kids who wanted to have a go, but their parents were also interested in helping! I intended to demonstrate model making but I was so inundated with questions on the first day that I only managed to cut out two parts and glue them together - I didn't bother again!
For those of you who haven't been to a show - you will be surprised at the "ego boost" ;-) See Tim's notes about two exhibitions in the next few weeks - you may find the experience "interesting" !
Cheers
Mike
