Fiddler's Green Mig I-320

I became fascinated with this aircraft when I saw the FG model, but I wasn't too keen on the model itself. I had to make it look more realistic. First step was to get rid of that paper radome and replace it with a proper cone. Next I added formers to give it strength. Then came the correct number of wing fences, a tailpipe, forward engine tailpipe, vanes in the intake, antennas...

I was never happy with the canopy and played around with it for days before I finally just cut down the height with some small slices in the front section. The aircraft has an oddly appealing low-slung canopy that must have been difficult to see out of. But it has a real '50's hot rod look. :)
