I'm Ward and I'm from Southern California.
I got into papercrafting about 3 years ago as a way to keep busy while laid up in bed in recovery from a surgery. Since then, I've kept up a solo practice in the hobby, building small cities for use in D&D and a star wars rpg as well.
I've happily learned the terms 'pepakura,' bastelbogen,' and others, and have inspiration to contribute to the community that I've benefited from by rendering several of my own local landmarks in 3D paper form.
