Ulm minster, Schreiber-Bogan 1:300

Another church--Ulm minster looked both interesting and challenging.
Not officially a cathedral, Ulm minster's construction began in the late 1300's and was consecrated as a Catholic church in 1405, having to be renovated shortly thereafter.
In 1530, the citizens voted to convert to Protestantism and Ulm became a Lutheran church. As was the case with many churches, work was halted and the building not completed until 1890.
The height of its principal steeple is 161.5m (530 ft.), tallest in the world until 1901.

The first step is to establish the lower, main tower which mean creating numerous openings for windows.
