Dear PMs
Having been away from paper modelling for a few months due to work issues, I looked around for a new project to take on. Whilst browsing the web I came across a picture of BF 109 instrument panel. It dawned on me that it would be an interesting idea to look at scratch building an instrument panel, in full size from paper and card.
I toyed with the idea and wondered how I would go about it? The web is full of pictures of aircraft cockpit items but try and find drawings with dimension. I eventually came across a German website which freely displayed the design drawings of all German WWII cockpit instruments.
Deutsche Luftwaffe Cockpitinstrumente Homepage Titelseite Instrumente Gertebrett Baumuster
This meant a German aircraft was on the books. I decided to go for a Messerschmitt BF109E 4/7 series panel.
