A couple of weeks later, I shipped a couple of models to the SoonerCon/AMPS contest
in Oklahoma City, OK. As I had previous band performances with the boys, I sent these by proxy.
I decided to enter the Fokker D.VIII in the regular plastic category, just to see how it
would do. Not to bad, it did receive a 2nd place award.

Now, the interesting part. I had the Type 94 tankette entered into the AMPS
(Armor Modelling and Preservation Society) side of the contest. This system uses
a different type of judging from the IPMS system, again, this as my local chapter
is a dual affiliated IPMS/AMPS club, I wanted to see what would happen.
The IJA Type 94 was actually awarded a Gold. Surprised the daylights out of me!
