Le Corbusier in Pessac, France

I recently came across a rare Le Corbusier model. Drawn in 1987 by two young Dutch students of architecture, Paul Groenendijk & Piet Vollaard, on the occasion of Le Corbusier's 100th birthday. It was made for / part of the influential international exhibition of paper model architecture 'Architecture à Decouper' (Bordaux 1987).

It represents a double house in housing estate Frugès, in Pessac, France: Le Corbusier was an architect as well as a town planner.

The fairly simple model consists of just three sheets A4 (27 parts) with brief instructions and an exploded view. It is of course especially interesting for those who are interested in the development of early 20th century architecture.

I reproduced the model by scanning and (professional) copying onto 160 grams paper.

The pictures show the cover with exploded view, the first building stage and the very simple way to touch up the most visible cutting and folding lines.
