Thinking of buying used software?
MAKE SURE YOU GET A VALID LICENSE TRANSFER!
The Adobe CS3 upgrade that I bought last year went belly-up, and in the process of trying to get it fixed I found out that the seller and I had never completed a valid license transfer. (Could be my fault- At the time, I was dealing with a new apprenticeship AND a mother who had just fallen and broken both a hip and shoulder!)
Can't get ahold of the seller (if still around)... You get the picture.
A couple of eBay sellers I have contacted have stated that "you don't need to transfer the license"... (Oh, yeah? Care to see the transcript of the chat I had with Adobe?)
Anyway, I still have the previous version to work from, so I'm not completely done in.
Just frustrated.
<EDIT> Heh- Just got a case reminder from Adobe regarding the need to transfer the license. Talk about salt in the wound...
