This is my last project: Polish gas ship-minelayer "Mątwa" in 1:100 scale. Model was build by my friend - Henryk.
"Mątwa" has been classified as a gas ship-minelayer and was the flagship of the Pińsk Flotilla. The main task of "Mątwa” (Cuttlefish) was a mine-fielding fairways and putting smokescreens and the use of tear-gas in the area of combat operations.
September 1, 1939 after the German invasion on Poland, she was mobilized and had the task of blocking the entrance of the river Pripyat. After September 17 after Russian invasion she started retreat toward Pinsk. Because of impossibility of complete this task, on September 18 ship has been sinking by its own crew.
Model is simple, but has all details.
