1/50 Panzer III/IV

The Panzer III/IV was a good idea on paper that never made it beyond the blueprint stage. The intention was to create a new medium tank that combined elements of the Panzer III and Panzer IV marks. The design was finalized in January of 1944, with production expected to begin in June. The project was scrapped in July however, when the Panzerkomission came to the realization that the tank was already obsolete, being outclassed in armor protection and firepower by the Soviet armor that was being encountered on the eastern front.

The model was designed by 15 year old Vadim Tarasov as a white model. I colored/textured it using Photoshop, and relying on a few illustrations and 3D skins from World of Tanks for inspiration. The paper base is my own design.

It's a pretty nice model of a "what if" tank that would probably have done very little to affect the war had it been produced.
