Shunichi Makinos Millenium Falcon 2017

When I found out that Shunichi Makino made a new version of the Millenium Falcon (see 1/144 thread here) I wanted to build one myself. I was really impressed by the detailing shown in the preview pics. And I see more detailing potential if you start doubling up the hull panels etc. So without further ado here is my build thread :)

First of all, you can download the model here: SF ƒy[ƒp[ƒNƒ‰ƒtƒg ƒMƒƒƒ‰ƒŠ[

The core structure starts with two of these circular shapes...

... which get extended by the mandible parts.

The inside of the core "sandwich" is filled with these structural parts and then you add the connecting "walls".

Before you close the sandwich you have to add the recess parts on the mandibles.

In the instructions they are glued on edge so I made these little parts to help me glue them better.

Now it's time to close the sandwich!

Just have a look at the detailing already here.

That's all for today. See you next time!
Chris
