Napoleonic Minions
Here is the first in what I hope will eventually become a series of Napoleonic Wars minions. I've always thought that the military uniforms of this period were, aside from their deadly purpose, beautiful. Their dramatic design and colors were embellished with feathers, polished metals, and exotic skins and furs.
My focus will be on the uniforms of the French and their allies, although those of the British and their allies are equally colorful.
It's fitting that the first subject to be minionized would be the emperor himself, so here he is, sideways bicorne and all.

2016 Annual Meeting Netherlands (Nieuwegein, Province of Utrecht)
Last weekend, Saturday, I went on my bike from Amersfoort to Nieuwegein, near the town of Utrecht. Nice weather, nice tour (approximately 19 miles).
On the tour itself I took a few pictures of a veteran fire engine, ready to be preserved:)

The Desecrated Tomb Diorama Paper Model
Here is the Desecrated Tomb Diorama paper model, ready to download. The model occupies eight sheets of paper, including the base. I also made illustrated instructions, only the most complicated parts, because the assembly of the parts at the base is very intuitive. The grave may be placed in several positions and can also be duplicated. Have fun!

Kool Wheelz The Jetsons space car
Hi,
Just becouse I had some free time at work I decided to make this model.
It's quite simple and nice model that can be done within few hours.
This will be just a micro repot :) Hope that you will enjoy it :) Let's go!
Except scissors and cutter I used also empty pen to fold and match parts better.
In this way I didn't break the paper while folding.
I also used color pencils to retouch the edges of paper.
I used 2 types of glue. White PVA for connection and water glue for forming.
Before I cut out the parts I covered them with 2 layers of clear matt varnish.
Attachment 298934
I started with the top of space car and I've done all the rings.

Next I stuck the rings together.

How to calculate edges?
Good morning all,
I would like to hear your tips and tricks about this. A while ago I started designing some models of buildings, as long if all is straightforward, nothing is wrong. But when it comes to edges, like roofs, it's getting trickier.
See my example an existing villa build in 1914 in a small village nearby, the design was put together using the original drawings and photo's of the house.
Everyting was fine when the 'walls' went up, but it went downhill when the roofs needed to be fit;
My question would be, how do I calculate the amount of paper needed for the edges of the roof(s)
It might be noticed, that all is drawn by hand, no unfolding programm has been used.
With regards,
Jerry

Jordan Peacock's coach looks okay in front, but I prefer Dave's Bud Wagon
