St. Lorenz / Nueremberg 1:250 (Evang. Kirchengemeinde Nuernberg) 2te Auflage 2014

Ricardo Leite did an excellent assembly report about this model.
Look here: http://ift.tt/1O4PFcS
I've designed the model in 2009, a second edition was published 2014
and because I've started the design of ROUEN chathedral late 2015
I think it is time to assemble myself St. Lorenz ... not at least to show
larger pictures here...

The first picture shows the assembly made and photographed by
Thomas Rothe to habe attractive picture for the 2nd edition cover.

The second picture shows the base and the first wall ...

Dump Truck Build

If it is OK with you guys, I would like to post a build here. It is what I'm calling a 'hybrid' build, consisting of a cast resin cab and wheels & tires and the chassis from an Orlik Zis-5 kit. I want to model this old rust bucket.

So far I have the cab and wheels, my kit direct from Orlik in Poland and some pictures to follow.

I have only built one paper model before, and it was a J3 Cub. That one went together mostly with white glue. It appears that super glue is the way to go with this kind of model.

I managed to scan and print the page with the frame. I'm glad I did that, since it is VERY easy to mess this up, at least for me. I printed the page on 110 pound stock, using legal size paper. I found out that using legal paper may waste a bit of stock, but the A4 pages are happy on that size paper.

Here's what I have accomplished so far. First the cab and wheel. That wheel was a bit small so I ordered larger ones.

This is the kit I'm using and the book with a copy of a page.

I did manage to glue the outside and inside pieces of the frame rail, but there must be an easier way. How does one properly glue those plain paper edges together? I got more glue on my fingers than on the paper.

I did manage to get one frame rail completed. It is quite strong and light weight.

First Time Builder

Hello, I've been a lurker here for some time and have been receiving requests to 'come back.' I am actually trying my first ship build, a download of HMS Rodney by Louis R. Coatney in 1/1200 scale, waterline. I am using heavy paper and have sprayed both sides with Krylon Clear to stiffen it. I am building a solid interior to the hull from Foam Board and layers of card. So far, so good - Hull sides, bottom, Deck and interior are ready. Now the big question - What kind of glue(s) ?
I am in Canada so it will have to be a North American type/brand.

Happy Birthday Alcides

Dear Alcides:
Happy Birthday to you and may you just be able to make paper models all day long.
Enjoy,

Aircraft builds

Hi all,
Making new threads all the time may be rather frustrating. Like many other members, I decided to make a build thread with only one subject. I am going to upload aircraft builds.

Dear All:
I am letting you know, that JSC just released the ATLANTIC CONVEYOR
with Chinooks, Harriers and Sea Harriers!!!
I visited its site and BANG!!!! It was there, after more than three decades of waiting in 1/400.
And by the way they also released the SHEFFIELD.

Fairey Delta 2 - Moon 1:50 scale

The Fairey Delta 2 was high speed research British plane.
In 1956 it broke the world speed record setting a new record of 1132 mph with the test pilot
Peter Twiss. Only 2 were built but they were used for supplying valuable data that was needed in the development of the mach 2.0 Concord airliner .

The model is from Moon in 1:50 scale release from the early 60's.
I modified the afterburner section and replaced the close canopy with a clear one and
a full cockpit.
Will be contiued.
